70s Style with Modcloth

It's fairly often that I hear from my family and friends that I was born in the wrong decade, and they're so right! I've always felt like a part of my heart belongs to the 1970's and thanks to Modcloth, it's easier than ever to dress like you're from the 70's!

As we've been planning out the decor for our new home, I've been gravitating towards light wood pieces, mid-century styles, and macrame. Thankfully, P's parents have kept many of their original furniture and decor pieces from the 1970's and they're bringing them down here when we move next month! I can't wait to receive our "new" rattan chairs and macrame pieces to hang around the house!

I've always been a huge fan of Modcloth and I especially love their new fall collection featuring these amazing wide legged pants! I've started falling in love with wide legged pants and for good reason! They make me look a lot taller (I'm fairly petite!) and I just love how bright the color is on the pants

Now I'm not one for mixing colors too much but when I saw this yellow beaded necklace, I just knew that I had to pair it with these pants for a far out look! I love how it adds another dimension of style to this look but isn't too overwhelming.

What's your favorite era to dress from? I just can't get enough of the 1970's and I'm constantly on the lookout for newer updated pieces or vintages ones. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
