As you can see, I'm already working hard to capture everything!
We were instantly smitten with the decor inside the hotel lobby. I never thought I'd say those words but I was gaga with the Andaz's style! Its mid-century mixed with Scandinavian style is exactly how I'd like to decorate my own home. So you can only imagine how much I loved this interior! The hotel staff was incredibly warm and welcoming which made it feel even more like home. P had to make Jennifer and I focus because we were too busy running around taking photos on her camera and my Instagram!
One thing that I love about today's modern hotel is how seriously they take interior design. No more do we see the outdated beige carpet with velvet drapes. Now you see carefully selected furniture, accent pieces, and plants that make you feel as if you're living inside of a magazine.
The lobby decor wasn't the only thing that blew us away, the bedrooms were immaculately designed and the beds were heavenly! The soft feather down beds are the perfect place to end your day after a fun day sightseeing in Savannah. Every time I stay in a hotel with feather bedding, it makes me want to completely overhaul my own bedroom! Our bedroom had a lovely view of the City Market which is the main square in Savannah. One of the best things about staying at the Andaz Hotel was the proximity to everything! We were right beside the City Market which includes a lovely park and walking distance to restaurants, bars, stores, and a quick walk to the main shopping area. You can only imagine how many times P had to walk me away from the main shopping area!
After we spent the afternoon exploring Savannah and eating at many wonderful locations (more on that soon!), we decided to grab a quick drink from the lobby bar. P's brother and girlfriend drove down from Hilton Head to join us for an evening and this was a great place to start! The cocktails were divine and they only used the freshest ingredients to mix the cocktails with.
If you need a place to relax, may I suggest their stunning rooftop pool? I can't imagine a better way to unwind after walking then taking a dip in the pool! The cabanas are perfect for sunbathing or reading a book. If you can't tell already, I was hoping to live here forever, not just for a weekend!
When I say continental breakfast, what do you usually think of? Various cereal options, oatmeal, and maybe some fruit and toast? Well that's certainly not the case at Andaz! At Andaz you are treated to a delicious breakfast that features cereals, fresh fruit, grits, an omelet bar, and even a charcuterie board! Now that's what I call a healthy start to the day!
We absolutely loved our stay with the Andaz Hotel in Savannah! I highly recommend staying there if you visit Savannah. It's the perfect location as it's in the heart of downtown Savannah and a quick walk to many of the fantastic restaurants that call Savannah home. We can't wait to go back again and continue exploring the area. I can see why so many people call it Charleston's sister!
