Driving in Style with the Mazda CX-5

We hope you love the products we recommend! Just so you know, this article is sponsored by Mazda

Over the past few months, I've been toying with the idea of purchasing a new car to fit my lifestyle and needs. As you can imagine, when we do styled shoots and outfits, you need to fit a lot of things inside of a car! My little Nissan does well but doesn't offer the amount of space that I need for my blog. Plus, it's so nice to have a car with extra space so that you can fit friends, dogs, and transport items from one place to another with ease. So I was very excited to test drive the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 earlier this month and I've got to say, I'm smitten!

In my week of test driving the CX-5, I instantly fell in love with the various features the car has like Bluetooth, which I used very often so that I could listen to my favorite podcasts, ebooks, and make phone calls, XM radio where I jammed out to a lot of early-2000s tunes, and the sun roof! Even better, the speakers are made by Bose so the sound is impeccable!

I had a sun roof in my first car and I forgot how much I love that feature! It's been gorgeous during the day here and it was the perfect opportunity to open it up and let in some cool breezes as I drove around town.

The car handles extremely well and has many safety features that help you stay in your lane. One of my favorite safety features is the blind spot detector that beeps or flashes in your side mirror anytime a car is coming up beside you. Charleston has pretty heavy traffic during rush hour times, so it was very convenient to have and saved me a lot of trouble of having to constantly look over my shoulder as I merged into lanes.

Safety note: always look when you're changing lanes! I don't fully rely on those features and always look before I merge. No one wants an accident!

I've never been into cars that are brightly colored and have always bought cars that were either silver or white, but this red. My goodness this red! It's so vibrant and I love how it just pops out at you. It's noticeable. It demands to be seen. And I personally love the color! It grabs your attention and it makes such a statement in a sea of ordinary cars.

I honestly didn't want to give back this car! I was totally in love with it and I'm seriously considering purchasing it in the future. It drives incredibly well and smoothly, and those heated seats? Heavenly. Especially now that fall has fallen occurred in Charleston, I'm dying for any kind of warmth when I'm outside!

If you're looking for a new car, I highly recommend the Mazda CX-5! Starting out at $29,395, it's an affordable car that feels more like a luxury vehicle. You'll feel like the queen of the road in this stunning vehicle!

Have you been looking at a new car? Do you own a Mazda? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!
