What I'm Wearing: St. Patrick's Day
Similarly with Cinco de Mayo, I love just being out with others celebrating other cultures and how they unite us across the world.
So it's no wonder that I had to share this amazing green and velvet dress on the blog today! You guys, why has it taken me so long to get on the velvet train?! I think it's because it reminds me of the 90's and how it makes a noise when you walk around. I don't know how we've stopped that from having in the 2000's, but I'm all for it. Maybe it's fashion technology or maybe it's me learning how to walk like a normal human being.
The world may never know.
But this green velvet dress gives me all the style these days. Paired with a pair of sky high ankle boots and I've got a killer outfit for conquering the town! But just because St. Patty's Day is over doesn't mean we suddenly pack away all our green belongings and pretend like the holiday never happened (although, I'm sure we all could forget a detail or two from the night!). If anything green, regardless of it's shade, is one of the tops colors to wear in spring.
Green represents all that is wonderful in the spring! Bright, colorful, rejuvenation, rebirth, you name it! Green represents it. Break out those fabulous jewel tone dresses and skirts for spring this year. If there's one thing I've learned is that bold is always a must in the spring. I've been gravitating more and more to these gorgeous jewel tones and textured pieces of clothing.
So I have to really be honest here and admit why I love green so much. You guys, it makes my hair and eyes look awesome. Like made for me, hello darling here I am! I don't talk often about what colors I like to wear most and why but my goodness, I love wearing green. There's something so satisfying when you put on something and it makes you almost light up with fashion holiness.
This dress does that for me.
I might be obsessed.
I might just wear green forever now.
Everyone has that one special color that makes everything about them light up, what's that color for you?
I don't know about y'all but just because St. Patrick's Day is over, I'm in no rush to pack away this gorgeous dress or any other green items in my closet. I think we should celebrate every day like it's St. Patrick's Day (minus the let's get drunk on Guinness part). Share some love, hug lots of people, and wear lots of green. Sounds like fun, right?
What's your favorite holiday to really celebrate? Did you go all out for St. Patrick's Day or stay in away from the craziness?
