Keeping Youthful Skin with Youth
If there's one thing that I picky about is my skincare regime. I'm almost obsessive over the amount of care that I take in my face and making sure that my skin is healthy, clear, and more importantly, that I'm not using products that make my face worse! As a whole, the beauty industry has backed away from creating products that have terrible ingredients like Parabens and acidic products which is wonderful! My skin is pretty sensitive to products that use a lot of acidic based products and I used to break out all the time!
But if there's one thing that I really look for in beauty products, aside from healthy and organic products, is that it's vegan and cruelty-free. As a vegetarian, I'm incredibly mindful that I use products that I not only love, but that they're also not harming other animals in the process of making them. Youth by Shaklee is the perfect answer to anyone looking for the same kind of product! I've had friends use their Radiance C+F pods and their skin was clearer within days!
These little pods are pretty incredible. At first glance, I actually thought they were pills that you took every day! Inside you'll find enough cream to cover your face with a magical concoction. The cream is full of vitamin C that helps reduce the appearance of age spots, smooth skin texture, and improve overall skin tone. As if this little wonder cream couldn't get any better, it also has vitamin E and raspberry cell extract to plump, brighten, and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Because real talk, as I'm getting older (because 26 is so old), I've started to notice very very fine lines around my mouth and I've been itching to keep those lines at bay! Now I have a useful beauty product that will make that possible. And I'm all about a product that can make my skin appear more plump and radiant, especially after a night out with the girls!
Now if there's one beauty product that I don't wear often is any kind of foundation. I know, it's crazy! But I thoroughly believe by not wearing any type of foundation has been the sole reason why my skin looks as clear and clean as it does. But one thing I swear by? A good BB cream with SPF. SPF is your friend y'all, even in the winter!
BB cream is different from foundation because it's a lighter liquid that doesn't clog your pores like foundation does. It helps even out your skin tone and since it's infused with SPF, it helps protect your face from harmful UV rays which is so important. One way to keep your face clean and clear is by reducing the amount of UV rays that your skin comes in contact with. Although I live in the South and I'm tan almost all year round, I do take great pride in always wearing SPF every day, both off and on the beach and making sure it's always on my face!
The final thing that I love to use in my daily skincare regime is using an activating serum. This was my first time using an activating serum and I've got to say, I'm hooked! I've always used products like Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair and nightly under-eye cream, but this cream is just to die for. Most products that I've used only has one use for one specific area.
That's a lot of bottles of beauty products on my bathroom sink!
Thankfully, this little bottle literally does it all! I can apply it all over my skin and under my eyes and can see a difference within a day.
That's huge! Rarely have I found a serum that can make that kind of change literally overnight. Most products that I've used takes a least a week to see any kind of results. It helps remove under-eye marks (which I'm so bad at getting after a fitful night of sleep) and smooths out my skin so that it keeps clean and clear.
Not too bad, right?
If you're like me and love to use cruelty-free and vegan beauty products, I highly recommend trying Youth! I love that they're dedicated to being cruelty-free and using only vegan ingredients in their products, so you know exactly what you're putting on your face and not some strange, long ingredient you've never heard of before!
What's your favorite beauty product that's cruelty-free and vegan? Have you used Youth before? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments!
