Life Lately

Life has been pretty chaotic lately so I wanted to let you into my life lately and all the things that I've discovered, loved, and are currently obsessing over!

I finally had the chance to visit Mylk Bar, Charleston's only and newest eco-friendly nail salon, and I've got to say, I'm in love! Their space is any blogger's dream and I loved getting my nails done in a fun, evil eye design (seen here). If you're visiting Charleston, I highly recommend visiting Mylk Bar for all your mani/pedi needs!

Since it's hot as hell outside, I can't stop eating acai bowls for all my meals. This one is incredibly easy and delicious to make! The peanut butter keeps you full all day and it's packed full of healthy proteins, antioxidents, and vitamins! I've included the recipe below:

Peanut Butter Acai Bowl

1 banana
1 cup frozen berry mixture (raspberry, blueberries, and strawberries work the best)
1 packet of acai blend (you can get this from Trader Joe's)
2 heaping tablespoons of peanut butter (I like to use all natural, organic peanut butter)
1/2 cup almond milk

Blend everything together for a few minutes and top with your favorite toppings! I typically add fruit, granola, and seeds like pumpkin or chia to mine!

I'm loving the new setup inside of Candlefish and I'm getting some major home decor inspiration from them! I highly recommend stopping by if you're visiting or take one of their candle making classes!

I'm falling in love with this red door in the Historic neighborhood of Charleston. We had the opportunity to show off the historic district last week when our friends visited and I forgot how inspiring each street is. It was so nice to take a moment to appreciate our city and find hidden gems like this door.

Sorry not sorry for the overwhelming amount of home decor inspiration you're about to see on here and on social media! I'm in love with this set up and thinking of designing our secondary bedroom in this style. P's dad owns a steel fabrication mill and can make just about anything! I'd love to have a long, black metal shelf to go above the bed as a headboard and have lots of cacti and plants on it (like these plants)!

Oh, did I mention my obsession with plants and terracotta pots because that's a thing now too. I'm fairly certain our deck and porch are just going to be full of terracotta pots with lots of trees, ferns, and other fun plants inside. Thank goodness P loves plants as much as I do!

What's been on your radar lately? I'd love to hear about all the things that you've been obsessing over lately!
