Spotlight On: Open Door Shop
Last Tuesday, myself and other girls from Charleston Blogger Society held our monthly blogger meetup at the fantastic Open Door Shop which is nestled just outside downtown Charleston. If you need gifts for weddings, your best friend, or yourself (because we need to treat ourselves!) this is the place to be! The lovely ladies, Leslie and Marion, were extremely welcoming and threw us quite the little shindig!
Before we dive into the treasures, let me tell you a little about the founding ladies. Open Door Shop began in 2012 and is primarily an online retailer that specializes in gift and bridal registries. As we found out last night, Open Door Shop was first ran out of Marion's home before moving into a studio space in 2013. Open Door Shop specializes in home decor and accessories and one of a kind finds (like those gorgeous coral colored and shaped serving set!). If you want to know more about their bridal registry service or sign up for yourself, you can do so here.
To be honest, I was completely stunned by the gorgeous wares available for purchase. It was so hard to restrain myself and not buy everything! I fell deeply in love with their Gold Leaf Decanter (hint hint) and matching glasses. Ever since creating the bar cart last week, I've been obsessed with finding a cool decanter and glassware set to use with it and this would be perfect!
I highly recommend everything in this store. Hopefully as the business grows they can establish themselves in a larger brick and mortar store. But for now, everything can be viewed online and is reasonably priced! The best thing about their pottery pieces is that it comes from a small shop opened in New York City. How cool! Each piece by Terrafirma Ceramics is handcrafted and because of this, each piece is unique. This platter is definitely something I'd love to see in my new home soon!
So since you've heard me blab enough about how wonderful their products are, here are some of my favorites!
If you'd like to stop in their studio, Open Door Shop is located at 1630 Meeting Street Rd, Suite 102 in Charleston. However it's by appointment only. So make sure to call and set one up today!
