Quentin & Co's Feminine Home

We are starting a new segment here at Paper Meets Pearl, home tours! Today we're sharing Quentin's family home, and it's not hard to see why we wanted to share it. With bright spaces and crisp colors, Quentin's home is able to combine femininity and style all in one.

From Shauna of Quentin & CoThis airy and feminine space is where I call home! I designed and styled our place from scratch after a major renovation this past summer. I knew I wanted a space for my family that felt bright and clean, so I gravitated towards white, grey, and neutral colours, adding splashes of polished nickel with my fixtures for a bit of glam. Touches of rustic wood in each room add warmth and keep things from feeling sterile. It took a lot of hard work (and white paint!) to get here, but I love the results!

Kitchen + Dining Room

We renovated the first floor to create an open concept kitchen and dining space, complete with a cozy breakfast nook; definitely my favorite spot in the house! I chose a light grey tile for our floors, and went with durable Quartz counters that have the look of marble but can stand up to daily wear and tear. I chose to fill my gallery wall frames with a simple taupe Belgian linen that adds texture without feeling overdone. Our dining room features a large rustic dining table and a jute rug that makes it the perfect cozy spot for big dinners.

Last on our list, but arguably the most important was the bedroom. As usual, I was aiming for a clean, minimal space with a sprinkling of rustic and feminine touches. Our light fixture is the greatest flush mount I’ve ever seen! It gives the room such height but doesn’t skimp on the glam factor. I hung Belgian linen drapes to give depth to our serene white tufted headboard and bedding. I always have my nightstand stocked with the essentials; books, a candle, and fresh flowers!

Dressing Room

I was thrilled to have an extra bedroom to turn into the walk in closet of my dreams! I wanted it to look clean, and to let my clothing and accessories do the decor work. I picked up inexpensive clothing racks from IKEA, and arranged my prettiest bags and jewelry on a vintage bookshelf I set up in between. The best part is that the set up inspires me to maintain a minimal wardrobe of pieces I truly love, since they’re always on display!

This was the first space I completed when we moved in, and hands down the most fun to decorate. I wanted my baby boy to have a space that was warm and cozy, without feeling too childish. A sophisticated color palette of cream, ivory, and black did the trick! His iron Bratt Decor crib was the starting point, and from there I splurged on this plush West Elm rug that is perfect for cuddling up on while we play. The finishing touches are the Pottery Barn Kids wooden chandelier, and the adorable “Bonne Nuit” print that adds the perfect touch of whimsy.

Office Space

We painted this entire floor with Behr’s Ultra Pure White. We used the same shade on the fireplace with a high gloss finish to help bring as much light as possible in! My desk and lamp are both from IKEA, as is the large print hanging above the computer. I kept things black and white, opting to add pops of colour with my paper goods (all from Target) and fresh flowers.
