Rooftops and Rosé
Happy Monday, babes! I teased this fabulous dress on Instagram over the weekend and I just couldn't wait to share it with everyone! This high-low dress is the perfect dress for those lingering long summer nights when the sun is setting a little earlier each night and it's not as hot anymore. For once, we weren't dying of heat or sweating as we relaxed at The Watch, The Restoration's fantastic rooftop bar!
I love how feminine this dress is and I'm noticing in my wardrobe that I'm gravitating more towards whites, blues, and softer colors lately. Maybe because we are starting the transition into fall clothes, but I love how it still has that summer feel to it. I used to be so anti-ruffles or anything too girly, but now I love it!
I've been back on my vintage kick again lately and have been making regular trips to our local Goodwill stores around town and I've been getting some great finds lately, like this adorable clutch! I found it randomly in an aisle and immediately fell in love with it. I love that's it a woven clutch and it's large enough to fit more than just my phone and lipstick inside. I think it's from the 70's which is so appropriate because I've been obsessed with that decade right now. Hence this amazing flowy, off the shoulder dress I'm wearing!
Now just because I'm obsessed with neutral colors again doesn't mean you can't add a punch of fun color to an outfit! I love these ball earrings that I recently picked up from The Finicky Filly. They're so fun and add the right amount of color to any outfit. I think it helps make the dress stand out even more!
Now that summer is starting to wind down, one of my favorite places to go to enjoy the sunset and glass of rose wine is at The Watch and The Restoration hotel. It's such a gem of a place and one of the few rooftop bars where you can catch an unbelievable sunset every evening. I love that no matter what time we go there, we can always grab a table and relax while we watch the sunset. Anytime we have guests in town, we always take them there for a drink before we head out to dinner. It's personally one of my favorite places in Charleston and I highly recommend anyone visiting to add it to their list of places to visit.
I hope everyone has a great Monday! You'll want to follow along on Instagram with me this week if you don't already! We'll be heading off to Austin, TX later this week for a long weekend and I cannot wait to show off all the amazing places we discover while we're out there! Fingers crossed that the hurricane and flood waters will have slowed down before we head out there.
